This illustration is of an Aston Martin 1.5 Litre International from 1930. In its day it was widely regarded as one of the best light sports and were a common sight competing at sprints, hill climbs, or rallies.
The engine was a single overhead camshaft, four-cylinder with dual SU carburettors producing 56bhp. The car had a four-speed gearbox, semi-elliptical front and rear leaf spring suspension, and four-wheel drum brakes.
This particular car was spotted competing at a Goodwood sprint in 2018.
